This is a family owned business, and they really know their fish. Nice aquarium setups and healthy fish. "nmtsaki"

T*This also is a family owned business. The owner is very much into ponds and pond products, he conducts seminars on building, maintaining and winterizing ponds, and care of koi/goldfish. Any products he sells, he "tests" in his ponds. "nmtsaki"

It is very little but nice tanks and very well maintained tanks. The fish seemed very healthy. And while they didn't have a ton of gf what they had was nice. I think there was about 5 tanks of gf ranging from fancys to koi. Very resonable too. And the bettas.............WOW I was very impressed. Each betta had a gal container. Some of the healthiest looking fish I have ever seen!! They even had Combtails!!!! WOW, if you are a betta person I suggest going to see these. LaurieP

Great store for Rykuns and Bubble eyes, quite a few moors and some celestials also. Loads of snails and many types of plecos and loaches. The real treasure is the marine section...I can spend hours just looking at their beautiful tanks heartpump.gif . They have a ton of aquariums of all sizes for sale to, theres one aquarium thats almost as big as my dorm, must be at least 500 gallons ohmy.gif . They also have all the fish food and aquarium suppies you need. They take great care of their fish, every time I go they're changing water and vacuuming the gravel and they feed their fish Hikari foods, not the cheap stuff that most places feed. biggrin.gif They've also got a bird room, which is awsome...theres at least a million dollars worth of birds in there and they're all hand raised by the owners wife smile.gif, they also have a reptile/ pocket pet room that has everything youd need for those critters. They are a bit on the pricey side but not too bad...I think the way they take care of their animals is worth paying the extra money, you know your not getting a sick fish or lizard or whatever it is your buying. nichjake

This store was great! I walked in and the people behind the counter were very friendly right away. He asked be right off the bat if I needed help with anything. When I asked him for ryukin he DIDN'T show me oranda or black moor (like too many LFS will, thinking one fancy is the same as all fancies!). When he didn't have the coloring I was looking for he told me he would order a handful and have them in next week "If [I] wanted to drop back in," no pressure and he didn't make me feel like he was doing me a favor, merely he was doing good business! The store was smaller but everything was clean and not overstocked! They even had a "pond" in the store with five or six big guys (including a 6" chocolate fantail!) I would definately recommend this store to ANYONE even remotely in the Detroit/Ann Arbor area (I was actually on my way back home from my sisters, it's about an hour away from me, and I will make the hour drive just to go to this lfs again) "ryukin girl"

The BEST fish store I have ever been to. Period. They are the state's largest pet store (they specialize in fish, both salt and freshwater, but do have expertise on every other pet imaginable) and people drive in from different states to come here. They are really generous with their knowledge and with their services. They have a fish vet/breeder on staff who is willing to help you with anything that can possibly come up. They took in my fantail when she had swallowed something, put her under and pulled it out. If it wasn't for them, she would have died. And they didn't charge me a penny! I recommend this fish store to anyone even remotely within an 8 hour driving range. Make a day of it. And they are more than happy to pack something up for you with oxygen if you call ahead.
