Pictures Of North Florida koi club 2004

Okay, finally here we go! Since it was a koi-only show, I figured the koi section is the perfect spot for it! The show was organized by the North Florida koi club and held at the grounds of the Golf Village Resort near St. Augustine, Florida. We arrived a little later than planned, "somebody" in the family didn't get out of bed... So, here we go, enjoy!! .....

First a group of koi in the show, and I particularly liked the big on in the middle...
Here is a Butterfly Shusui, and he has the most gorgeous pattern. Me being a fan of longfinned anything, that one is a dead ringer!
Have forgotten what kind this is, but it sure is a beauty!
The club booth, where all kinds of things were raffled away.....
Those 3 beauties were auctioned off for the benefit of a lady named Ruth, who had lost her house after hurricane Charley when the generator she used set the house on fire. As Rob (Jetman) told me, around $ 20.000 were collected!
My eye in this group fell on the little black/blue koi. I think its supposed to be a black/white pattern, but the white part was so intensly blue, it was stunning!
Here we have a few vendors - Kois'R'us for one - which to my amazement besides their koi brought 4 75 gl tanks filled with lots of goldfish, including a whole tank with wakin! Needless to say, I didn't come home empty handed
A few of the darlings; and all the redcaps would have made Milo jump for joy!
Here we have Blackwater Creek, whose farm is only 45 min away from me. They also brought a few of their wakin, and gave away koi identification posters for free. Paul, did you get one?
Here we got a glimps of the famous Matthew McCann of QualityKoi.com, a very highly dedicated koi farm breeding koi with the help and knowledge of Mr. Toshio Sakai. Too bad I missed a seminar held by Matt.
Aaand since I have the feeling that a lot of female members wouldn't have gone past the first picture if it would have shown Paul, I was a bit sneaky and put it last! So, here it comes - Koko's mini convention! We have Rob (Jetman) in the back, Paul (Toothie) to the right, and then there is me and my daughter Julia! So, now go drool!
